Asif Khan

Head of Arabic & Islamic Studies

I am a UK-qualified teacher of Arabic with experience teaching Arabic and Islamic studies in UK curriculum schools through Key Stages 1-5 within the UK and internationally. I have a BA in Sharee’ah (Islamic Law) from Al Azhar University, Cairo, have memorised the Noble Quran, have permission to narrate all the major books of Hadeeth and worked as an Imam and Khateeb prior to completing my PGCE at Master’s level from Goldsmiths, University of London. I also hold a BSc. Joint Honours in Molecular Biology and Immunology from King’s College London and completed a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course at University College London’s Institute of Education qualifying me to teach Year 7-13 Chemistry.

I hold myself to very high professional and personal standards and have routinely been graded ‘outstanding’ during official in-school observations, in three different countries, and by OFSTED, the UK’s Office for Standards in Education. I would like you to have peace of mind in knowing that our children's happiness and wellbeing are of paramount importance to me. I am committed to fulfilling the trust you will be placing in me by ensuring that our children continue to thrive in secure and nurturing environments; that they are engaged, inspired and encouraged to develop the best versions of themselves, in all areas of their being; that they will be academically and spiritually prepared to successfully navigate the challenges and wonders of tomorrow’s horizons. I look forward to meeting you personally and working with you to ensure the best possible experiences and outcomes for our children.
